Benicia Police Log: Workers Working Late on Jackson, Speeding Car on East J Street

12:06 a.m.: Police opened a missing person investigation on a resident missing from a residence on Chelsea Hills.

1:35 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a Southampton Road business.

2:42 a.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at business on Sprig.

3:46 a.m.: Officers couldn’t find the car that was reportedly speeding up and down East J Street.

8:32 a.m.: A citizen reported yelling coming from a West K Street address.  Officers were assured by a resident at the home that all was well.

9:34 a.m.: The side mirror of a car parked on Buena Vista was vandalized.

10:52 a.m.: Police received a report of a dumping violation occurring on Southampton Road.  The violator was gone before officers arrived at the scene.

12:58 p.m.: Police opened an investigation into a residential burglary that occurred on Bonita Bahia.

7:03 p.m.: Police opened an investigation into a residential burglary that occurred on Sanborn.

11:25 p.m.: Police received a report of workers at a business on Jackson hammering on metal.  The hammering had ceased before officers arrived on scene.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
