The United States Geological Survey web site shows there was magnitude 3.8 earthquake in Berkeley tonight at 8:16 p.m. The quake was felt in Benicia as well as other Bay Area communities. It was the second earthquake in the Berkely area today. At 2:41 p.m. today there was a 4.0 earthquake also centered in Berkeley.
