Officers from the Dixon Police Department assisted the Sheriff’s Office responding to the area just outside of Dixon. Dixon officers detained the subject being detained by the property owner at the residence. They also located and detained the second subject approximately one-half mile away from the residence.

Deputies arrived a short time later and took custody of the two male subjects. Deputies discovered the subject who had been detained at the residence, 34 year old Joseph Paul McGraw of Dixon, had driven his vehicle to the residence and inside the vehicle deputies discovered McGraw’s infant child. Deputies contacted Solano County Child Protective Services.

Arrested a short distance from the victim’s residence was 37 year old Dean Forrest French of Vacaville, who was identified by the property owner as the second suspect.

Deputies discovered items in McGraw’s vehicle as those from the property owner’s shop. Inside the shop, deputies discovered numerous items had been moved and placed in an area where they could easily be loaded into McGraw’s waiting vehicle.

McGraw was booked into the Solano County Jail on the following felony charges: burglary, conspiracy, and a misdemeanor charge of willful cruelty to a child. McGraw’s bail has been set at $45,000.00. McGraw’s first court appearance is scheduled for Thursday, 12/11/13 at 1:30 p.m.
