Home Invasion Robbery Reveals $571,000 of Marijuana

Sheriff's officers are looking for two white men and two black men about 6 feet tall, in black ski masks and black gloves, who left the residence in a late 1990s or early 2000s silver Toyota Camry.

Marijuana with a street value of $571,000 was found in a residence where one person was shot and two beaten during a home invasion robbery Wednesday evening, a Solano County sheriff's deputy said Thursday afternoon.

Four armed and masked men forced their way through the front door of the home in the 5100 block of Poplar Road outside Vacaville around 6 p.m. and bound five of its occupants, Deputy Daryl Snedeker said.

The robbers demanded "specific items" from the occupants and eventually shot one and beat two others, Snedeker said. They then removed the specific items and fled.

Detectives got a warrant to search the house and found 110 pounds of processed marijuana with a street value of approximately $250,000, and 107 marijuana plants valued at $310,000, Snedeker said.

Detectives are speaking with the five victims and developing leads to identify the four suspects, Snedeker said.

Two white men and two black men about 6 feet tall, in black ski masks and black gloves, left the residence in a late 1990s or early 2000s silver Toyota Camry, Snedeker said. One of the bound residents was able to get free and called 911, Snedeker said.

The man who was shot multiple times was taken to a hospital and was in stable condition Wednesday, Snedeker said. The two residents who were beaten were treated at the scene for their injuries.
