Little New Information From Police Regarding Shooting Incident at Southampton Center

Benicia police detectives still investigating events that led to shooting at shopping center.

Benicia police detectives waited until late Thursday to search the car involved in a shooting incident at the Southampton Center on Wednesday, June 27, 2012.

The search couldn’t begin until detectives received a search warrant allowing them to go through the contents of the vehicle.  The warrant was granted by a judge late Thursday afternoon.

Police wouldn’t comment on the evidence they pulled from the vehicle which had a bullet hole in the passenger side door after a retired law enforcement officer fired on the vehicle.
