Police Log: A DUI Arrest and Reports of Kids Shooting Paintball Guns at Cars

Police cited a few kids for being out past curfew early Thursday and received two loud music calls.

Highlighting Thursday's Benicia Police log is a DUI arrest.

Police arrested 23-year-old San Diego resident Ignacio Lauder for suspicion of DUI on West Second Street. He was transported to Solano Country Jail in Fairfield. 

2:11 a.m. Some kids were cited for being out past curfew and causing a disturbance on Grove Drive.

2:32 a.m. Police were called to a house playing loud music on Clearview Drive. A warning was given.

2:43 a.m. Dispatch received a report of a possible DWI on Eastbound I-780, but police were unable to locate the driver.

4:54 a.m. A call came in that people were smoking marijuana on West L Street, but police found nobody at the scene when they arrived.

8:08 a.m.  Police were called to a home with an open gate on East K Street. The resident of the home was contacted and there were no problems.

11:57 a.m. Police were called to document a non-injury accident on East J Street.

12:12 p.m. Someone called police to request help verifying a VIN number on a vehicle on McCall Drive.

1:21 p.m. Police were called to Vecino Drive to deal with recurring reports of kids riding their skateboards in the area.

2:20 p.m. Dispatch received a hang-up 911 call on Braemer Court. The resident was reached and they were fine.  

2:41 p.m. A suspicious person was seen walking around a school campus on East Third Street. The person left before police got there.

3:07 p.m. A resident at a home on Vista Drive accidently set off his alarm.

3:45 p.m. Police received reports of an dog running loose in the Havenhill Drive area. 

7:47 p.m. There were reports of loud music coming from a home on West L Street. Police didn’t hear anything when they got there.

8:41 p.m. There were reports of kids shooting cars with paintball guns on Southampton Road. Police couldn’t find anyone when they responded.

10:46 p.m. Ignacio Lauder, a 23-year-old San Diego resident, was arrested for DUI on West Second Street and transported to Solano Country Jail in Fairfield.

11:18 p.m. Police documented a hit and run on Rose Drive.

11:18 p.m. There was a call that someone was taking items from vehicles on Fuschia Drive. 

11:50 p.m. Dispatch took reports of people setting off fireworks on Hillcrest Drive. Police didn’t find anything when the arrived
