Benicia Police have responded to calls of mysterious noises, individuals driving while intoxicated, suspicious circumstances and more over the past few days. Here is a look at some of those calls:
Friday, Feb. 1
8:41 p.m. - Reports of a loud noise, maybe an explosion on L Street. Responding officers are unable to locate the origin the noise or determine any explanation for it.
10:37 p.m. - Reports of two individuals talking loudly while walking down 1 Street. Ironically enough, officers were unable to locate either noisy individual.
Saturday, Feb. 2
12:42 a.m. - A 21-year-old male is pulled over on 2nd Street for a moving violation. The man is determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He is booked and cited in the Benicia Main Jail and later released.
6:48 p.m. - A man, 51, is pulled over on 6th Street for a moving violation and is determined to be intoxicated. He is cited for a DWI and is released the following day.
Sunday, Feb. 3
1:35 a.m. - Police attempt to respond to reports of an individual asleep in the driver's seat of a parked running vehichle on Chadwick Way. Police are unable to locate the car or the individual.
2:01 p.m. - Officers respond to a report of a large truck with trailer parked the wrong way on Shirley Drive. The driver is contacted and warned.
