Police Log: Lot of Suspicious Vehicles in Benicia Thursday
At least one of the drivers was cited for a traffic violation.
Police responded to two separate noise complaints in the Benicia Industrial Park on Thursday. There were a lot of suspicious vehicles in town on Thursday.
3:06 a.m.: A work truck on West Channel Road was making far too much noise.
6:35 p.m.: Officers helped with a child exchange on East B Street.

7:23 p.m.: A business owner on East Second Street failed to turn off the alarm in a timely fashion.
8:10 p.m.: There was a suspicious person hanging out on Rose Drive but he was gone before officers got a chance to talk to him.

9:25 p.m.: There was a lot of noise coming from West Channel Road. Officers determined it was the normal noise that comes from an industrial area.
9:27 p.m.: There was a suspicious vehicle reported on Southampton Road. When officers arrived to investigate the driver was cited for a traffic violation.
10:59 p.m.: A 52-year-old Vallejo man was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
11:25 p.m.: There was another suspicious vehicle in town, this time on Military East. It had left the area before officers arrived to investigate.
Editor’s Note: Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
