Police Log: Loud Man Quieted in Middle of the Night

There were some threatening phone calls now being investigated by officers.

Monday was a relatively quiet day in Benicia.  The disappearing barking dog never made an appearance and there were no arrests.

12:21 a.m.: The guy walking on Military East and yelling as he went, quieted down when police officers asked him to.

8:09 a.m.: Someone tried to steal a car on Park Road.

8:20 a.m.: A resident of Solano Avenue failed to turn off the house alarm.  Police verified it was the homeowner who made the error.

10:38 a.m.: Someone got nervous when they saw the car with the arguing couple parked in front of the Police Station. The couple agreed to go home.

10:48 a.m.: Police are looking into who was throwing rocks at cars on Jackson Street.

11:49 a.m.: A resident of Military West reported harassing phone calls.  Police are investigating.

11:55 a.m.: Officers investigated a report of suspicious persons in a car in the Solano Square parking lot.

3:20 p.m.: Officers began an investigation into threatening phone calls made to a resident on Hillcrest.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
