Police Log: Party Animals but No Dogs

1:18 a.m.: Those noisy partiers on Linda Vista took it inside after talking to officers.

7:10 a.m.: A 31-year-old man was arrested for alleged domestic violence on a spouse.

7:11 a.m.: There was an accidental activation of a residential alarm on Gallagher.

7:39 a.m.: A vehicle that was being driven by an unlicensed driver was towed after being stopped on Rose Drive.

8:24 a.m.: Police tried to locate the owner of a car that was partially blocking a driveway on Church.

9:59 a.m.: A man was trying to get into a home on Cambridge in order to get some belongings.  Officers assisted in a smooth recovery.

1:12 p.m.: That truck that rolled into the street on Columbia wasn’t in the road when officers arrived on the scene.

1:15 p.m.: Police received a report of a man knocking on doors and asking to wash cars on East E Street.  The man was gone when officers arrived.

6:42 p.m.: The person who was raising a ruckus and causing a family disturbance on Southampton Road, was gone when officers arrived.

7:03 p.m.: The solicitors going door-to-door on Cambridge were informed of the need to register before soliciting.

8:02 p.m.: There was a family disturbance on West I Street.

8:18 p.m.: A 26-year-old Oklahoma man was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

8:38 p.m.: Officers were unable to locate the suspicious vehicle seen on First Street.

10:35 p.m.: A resident on Military West reported being followed by an unknown vehicle.

10:43 p.m.: A man who was acting nervous and suspicious was reported near some apartments on West L Street.  Officers checked the area and were unable to find him.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
