Police Log: Police Interupted a Burglary, Nothing Was Stolen

There were some accidental alarm activations, but the goofy kids stayed in school and the burglar on West 10th Street got away but without any loot.

A burglar kicked in a door at a hose on West 10th Street but police arrived before anything could be stolen.  The thief did manage to escape.  Later in the day a man was arrested because of an outstanding warrant issued in Napa County and a resident on Carlisle discovered that someone has slowly been stealing their china.

4:13 a.m.: The people who were thought to be arguing on Bayview were just talking loudly.  They agreed to quiet down.

5:23 a.m.: Officers were investigating a suspicious circumstance on Baker.

6:33 a.m.: An employee at a business on East Industrial Way accidentally set off the alarm.

10:12 a.m.: Police opened an investigation into a case of fraud on First Street.

10:33 a.m.: Officers interrupted a residential burglary on West 10th Street..  Nothing was taken from the home.

11:10 a.m.: A business alarm was accidentally activated by an employee of a West G Street business.

12:05 p.m.: There was a non-injury traffic accident on West G Street.

1:48 p.m.: A dog was reported missing from a home on Turner.

1:52 p.m.: Police began an investigation into a case of fraud on Seaview.

1:54 p.m.: Someone has been stealing the china from a home on Carlisle.

2:46 p.m.: Someone smashed the window of a car on East Industrial Way and stole some wires.

3:38 p.m.: A possible Drunk driver was reported on Interstate 780.  Officers were unable to locate the car and driver.

4:51 p.m.: Police were asked to intervene in an argument between a customer and a business owner on Southampton Road.

4:55 p.m.: A resident of Rose Drive arrived home and thought they  heard someone in the house.  Officers made a thorough search and found nothing.

5:02 p.m.: There was a report of a suspicious vehicle on East E Street.  The vehicle was gone when officers arrived.

6:24 p.m.: A resident reported really loud people in a park on East Sixth Street.  The park was empty when officers arrived.

6:29 p.m.: Officers began an investigation into a cell phone being stolen from a car on East Channel Road.

7:34 p.m.: There was a residential alarm activation on Ardmore.

11:13 p.m.: A 19-year-old Napa man was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued in Napa County.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
