Police Log: September 1, 2011

Some people have all the luck, then there are the two guys Benicia Police arrested Thursday night.

Alarms are still malfunctioning around town, or, maybe they are working perfectly well and scaring away would be thieves when they go off.

 

12:17 a.m.: Police responded to an alarm activation on Industrial.  All appeared secure to officers dispatched to the scene.

2:56 a.m.: Another alarm activation sent police back to Industrial.  The area seemed quiet and secure, except for the burglar alarm.

7:55 a.m.: a 30-year-old West Sacramento man was arrested on Lopes Road for outstanding traffic tickets.

8:13 a.m.: A resident of Cambridge Drive reported a suspicious vehicle in the area.  The vehicle was gone before police arrived.  It is unclear if the driver had been intending to take a nap.

8:42 a.m.: A West I resident reported a case of fraud.  Police took a report and issued a case number.

9:29 a.m.: Police were informed of a wallet that was found on East Second Street.

9:42 p.m.: A 19-year-old Vallejo man was arrested on First Street.  The man had a warrant out for his arrest.

10:32 p.m.: Someone in Southampton Road apartment had the music cranked way up until shortly before police arrived to  ask them to turn it down.

 

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women who’s job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is gong off.
