Benicia cops catch suspects who couldn't resist a return to the scene of the crime.

There was another residential burglary in town and a pair of suspected thieves were apprehended at the scene of the crime — about 24 hours later. It was unclear from the police report if the thieves were working from literary themes or were just not smart enough to try a new location for their thieving.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
