Police Log: Tuesday, September 20, 2011

Police talk trash to the guy going through the recycling.

The prowlers were not to be found but the person going for the easy pickings in the recycling was easy to spot. There were also some custody issues police had to deal with. One involved kids and the other involved stuff.

6:31 a.m.: A resident of Military East reported a prowler. Police responded but were unable to find the person.

8:04 a.m.: There was a report of something painted on the grass of a park on Rose Drive. When police arrived to check it out they found that the Parks and Community Services staff had mowed the lawn.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
