Road Rage Leads to Arrest

Martinez man arrested for felony assault with a deadly weapon.

A 33-year-old Martinez man was arrested Thursday following a road rage incident that started on the 1500 Block of East Fifth Street in Benicia.

At approximately 10:37 a.m. Benicia Police dispatch received a call from the Martinez Police Department Dispatch Center. The Martinez Police Department Dispatcher stated they had a female caller on a cell phone who stated she was being followed by her ex-boyfriend and she feared for her safety.

Prior to police arrival on Fifth Street, Russell Clark of Martinez had apparently rammed the vehicle of his ex-girlfriend, a 31 year old Martinez resident. Damage was caused to both vehicles. The female victim was not injured in the incident.
