Southampton Center is site for Next 'Coffee with the Cops' Event

The afternoon event is open to the public.

The hosting its third "Coffee with the Cops" neighborhood meeting Thursday, February 9th, 2012 from 4 to 5 pm at  Restaurant located at 800 Southampton Road in the Southampton Center.

"We were very pleased with the turnout and success of our first two meetings," Benicia Police said. "This will be an afternoon meeting for those residents or business owners who may not have been able to attend in the morning."

 is a pilot program implemented by the Benicia Police Department in an effort to enhance communication between community members, business owners and the Police Department.

"We are hosting this next meeting in the Southampton area to encourage citizens and business representatives from that area to attend, however residents and business owners from all over the city are welcome," said Bidou.

Police officers, professional staff and Chief Bidou will discuss crime trends and other issues throughout the city. They'll be available to answer questions, offer tips and provide information on topics of interest as well as speak with residents about enhancing Neighborhood Watch Programs and other strategies to reduce crime.
