A jackknifed tractor-trailer is blocking the eastbound lanes of
state Highway 12 in unincorporated Solano County this morning, according to
the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP received an initial report of a big rig that lost control
just west of Big Top Road, near Fairfield at 2:38 a.m.

The big rig is blocking all lanes of traffic and may have
partially gone down an embankment, according to the CHP.

A Sig-alert was issued at 3:07 a.m., according to the CHP.

Sigalert.com showed all lanes of Highway 12 just west of Interstate 80 were still blocked at 4:30 a.m.  A CHP spokesman didn’t have an estimate on when the roadway would be cleared.

Thank you, JB! I planned to take that route this morning for an important meeting. Nothing like getting a warning about something like this before leaving home. Who knows who long it will take to clean it up? Now I know to take 29.
