The ability of some to constantly deride those with whom they disagree, has reached a point in this city to where it is difficult to give an opinion without being scorned by those who differ. The constant derition of Robert Livesay has reached the point of comedy and the those who are leading this constant barrage of criticism are the comics.

Jim you are right and thank you. when iIcome out with my comic strip they will for sure understand. As it is they are just driving there own political agena. I am not sure if they even know what it is. Try giving your names rather than a nick name. What are you afraid of?. The big bad wolf Bob Livesay

Jim as a side note. Can you just think of what these folks that make comments about what I say would do if I did not make my comments. They lay awake at night hoping I might make a comment so they can jump on it. What is there life all about. I am very glad I am helping to fullfill there life. I am sure they are very nice people. But boy do they sound like they are full of dislike for my comments. As I sai8d I am very glad I am able to fill there need. My comments will still be coming and you folks will be losing sleep. Bob "The Caped Crusader" stay tuned

Immature and nasty...I thought Patch had gained a better level of readership. Sad.
Robert Livesay July 17, 2011 at 03:40 PM
Carlene what would you expect from the Patch. Where is the Editor on all of this. I may be a blunt and to the point. But that last comment was very nasty and hateful. I am not sure what he was trying to say. When there is a comment section on articles you do take a chance. I would assume the Editor could remove the ones that should not be there. Even if he has to remove some of mine. That is OK with me. Bob Livesay

Thanks for the removal

Yes, the removal of the derogatory iwas necessary. I agree with you Bob. I may not agree with the comments of others but I do think it's healthy to agree to disagree without being demoralizing or degrading. People have seemed to have their ability to self-censor. While the Benicia Patch is the not the pinnacle of editorail or journalistic prowess, it's not a smut rag either. But, a small town on-line newspaper is going to have its occasional small minds. It goes with the territory. The editor did the right thing. All the best, Carlene

Wow, looks like I should have checked my own spelling before I sen the last comment. Okay, well... let's try this again. Yes, the removal of the derogatory remark was necessary. People have seemed to have lost their ability to self-censor. Much Better. Carlene

Thanks Carlene. Bob Livesay
