Benicia City Council to Fill Out Interview Panel

Panel that will interview prospective climate action plan coordinators may have member of city council.

The Benicia City Council will consider appointment of one of its own to a panel tasked with interviewing applicants for the Climate Action Plan coordinator consultant position.

The discussion will take place during the regular City Council meeting scheduled for 7 p.m., Tuesday November 15 at Benicia City Hall, 250 East L Street.

The council ok’d the request for proposals for the position at its October 4 meeting.  During the discussion that evening, Councilman Tom Campbell who will soon be the city’s vice-mayor, said he wanted a member of the city council on the interview panel.

Ioakimedes’ idea is to make the cost of various items included in the contracts more transparent for taxpayers.
