California Bullet Train Approved by State Legislature
Legislature approves $8 billion for first segment of track.
The California legislature approved initial funding for California's high-speed rail project.
As reported in the Los Angeles Times, the bill authorized the use of approximately $8 billion for the first segment of track, and associated transportation projects.
Once completed, Californians will be able to ride a bullet train at speeds up to 220 mph between Los Angeles, San Francisco and Sacramento.
