The Chair or designee will draw the winning entry from the April – June contest.

B. Art & Culture Group Collaboration:

Members from the Art and Culture Commission will encourage collaboration efforts with the EDB.

A. Business Retention & Recruitment Sub-Committee Update:

Committee members will provide an update on their work to develop a grant program for business retention/recruitment to submit to the Benicia Community Sustainability Commission.

B. Review of Benicia Main Street (BMS) Contract:

Staff will review the staff report and BMS 2011/2012 Contract that was presented to the City Council at their 8/16/11 meeting.

Recommendation: Review 2011/2012 contract, calendar date to review and discuss succeeding contracts with BMS.

C. Wolf Communications July Invoice and Tracking Worksheet:

Review July invoice from Wolf Communications and related tracking worksheet.

Recommendation: Review invoice and worksheet.

VII. INFORMATIONAL UPDATES

A. Benicia Arsenal Project:

Staff will provide an update on the status of the Benicia Arsenal Project. (verbal report)

B. Business Improvement District (BID):

Staff will review the status of this project. (verbal report)

C. Review of Ad Hoc Tourism Stakeholder’s Committee July Meeting Minutes:

D. Commercial / Industrial Vacancies, August 2011:

Staff will review the list of available retail/office/industrial space in the City of Benicia. (Occupancy Tracking Sheet will be distributed at the meeting.)

The Benicia Economic Development Board welcomes public participation.

Pursuant to the Brown Act, each public agency must provide the public with an opportunity to speak on any matter within the subject matter jurisdiction of the agency and which is not on the agency's agenda for that meeting. The Economic Development Board allows speakers to speak on agendized and non-agendized matters under Public Comment. Comments are limited to no more than five minutes per speaker. By law, no action may be taken on any item raised during the public comment period although informational answers to questions may be given and matters may be referred to staff for placement on a future agenda of the Economic Development Board.
