Memorial Day: What’s Open? What’s Closed?

Many public and private entities are closed on Memorial Day.

If you need a building permit or want to get to the post office to buy some stamps, Memorial Day won’t be too productive for you.  All government offices at the local, state and federal level will be closed on Monday, May 28 in observance of Memorial Day.

The and will be fully staffed for patrol and emergency response but the business offices will be closed.

If you need to get a prescription filled, and will both be open and both will have their pharmacies open as well.

If you need some last minute picnic supplies, and will both be open too.  However, a spokesperson at Raley’s said the store’s pharmacy will be closed on Memorial Day.

Banks will also be closed but customers in need of cash shouldn't have any trouble finding an ATM machine.

Weather.com shows a forecast high temperature for Monday of 71 degrees. If that feels like swimming gweather, you’ll be happy to know the James Lemos Swim Center will be open for recreational swimming from 1-4 p.m. on Memorial Day.
