Santorum Drops Out of Presidential Race

Concerns about his family and his showing in his home state may have driven decision to halt active campaigning.

Republican presidential primary candidate and former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum announced today he is suspending his run for the White House.  The Huffington Post cited a number of sources and reasons for Santorum stepping down and also noted that in a speech announcing his decision, Santorum did not endorse Mitt Romney.
