Thanksgiving 2012 – What’s Open and What’s Closed in Benicia

A few restaurants and coffee shops will be open.

If you don’t feel like cooking this Thanksgiving you’re in luck-as long as you like burgers, pizza and Chinese food.  If you need a building permit, you’ll have to wait until Monday.

Benicia City Hall is closed until Monday.  The Post Office and banks are closed Thanksgiving day but will resume regular business on Friday.  The police will have officers patrolling and the fire department will be staffed and ready to respond in case of an emergency.

The following stores, restaurants, coffee shops and fast food joints in Benicia will be open:

11 a.m.-8 p.m.

Mountain Mikes Pizza

11 a.m.-6 p.m.


7 a.m.-3 p.m.

McDonald's Columbus Parkway

5 a.m.-3 p.m.

McDonald's East Second Street

5 a.m.-3 p.m.

There are no bars or restaurants open on First Street.

What about the bars on "Winery Row"? Are they not open? BENICIAS' WINERY ROW Ninety-Nine bottles of beer on the wall Ninety-Nine bottles of wine Drink one in share with a friend Next time liquor will do just fine Ninety-Nine shots of liquor on the wall Ninety-Nine shots to go Just drink one down and get rid of that frown This makes for happy Thanksgiving on Benicias' Winery Row The day to go out and relieve some work stress will No longer be Wednesday, or as we call it "Hump Day" It will now be Thursday "Sweet Thursday" Yeah, this is the best time to go There will be no homeless to see for they are somewhere taking a plea For drinking on 'Winery Row" Take my advice when drinking on Winery Row Thanksgiving Day Your common sense you must Constantly check For everyone knows when an point 8 she blows your life will resemble a Turkey neck So when entertaining the thought to party This Thanksgiving on Benicias' "Winery Row" Remember what John Steinbeck said when asked, "Where are all the fish man"? with a Chesher Cat grin He replied "They're all sealed up in the can"!! Happy Thanksgiving; 'Be safe out there"!!!
