What Would You Ask At Wednesday's Presidential Debate?

The first of three debates between President Barack Obama and challenger Mitt Romney will take place on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Benicia voters will get the opportunity to see the two major party candidates, President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, face each other in the first of three debates on Wednesday at 6 p.m. from Colorado. The topic will be domestic policy, and the moderator will be Jim Lerher.

The debates will be covered live by all the major networks and cable news channels.

If your phone rang on Wednesday morning and Lehrer said "I lost all my notes, and I need you to come up with some questions for the candidates," what would you ask them?

Will you be watching the debate on Wednesday? What questions would you ask? Tell us in the comments.

10.5 tril to 16.5 tril. Now that is a big jumb. That is aq 57% increase in four years and still rising. Mr,President just what are your p-lans to reduce this debt? Please just facts not hope and promise which turned out to be hopeless and broken promises.

Increase income (more job creation and better wages for the working class) so that more taxes are coming in and allow the bush era tax cuts to expire on those who are making over $250,000. Reduce the military spending where we spend more than the next 27 countries combined. What is the republican plan to cut the deficit, cut taxes and if they are cut enough the deficit will disappear?
Robert Livesay October 02, 2012 at 02:44 AM
I would ask the President why are you telling big companies to delay there layoff announcements till after the election . Then telling them at the same time that we the tax payer will pay all penalities and legal fees. This President is a crime oriented guy from Chicago. I have always believed that America was a protector of womens, gay and all human rights. Not so. Liberals are now saying the heck with with these rights in those countries that we are trying to restore their rights. Are the Liberals only for rights if you are a left leaning Liberal and the heck with Conservative, Tea Party and for sure those wonderful women on Fox News. Sound kind of strange to me.. This country has always fought for rights of all our citizens and many other countries. The big problem is we have no partners on this. For sure the EU.,

Nothing surprises me anymore regarding what depths you people will stoop to when it comes to retaining your power(NOTHING!!!). You just called the President of the United States a "Crime oriented guy from Chicago"!!!
Robert Livesay October 02, 2012 at 03:01 AM
Bobbie is he from another city. If so I will correct the statement to say the right city. Bobbie you are not even aware what the crime doctor just suggested and backed up to these companies. Do you not have internet connection in your 5/ 8 small hideout. Bobbie at least get in touch before you make your "Blank Panther of Rime Time" silly comments. Sorry Bobbie for the wrong description of your AKA Oakland title. Did I get the city right?

Nothing surprises me anymore regarding what depths you people will stoop to when it comes to retaining your power(NOTHING!!!). You just called the President of the United States a "Crime oriented guy from Chicago"!!! SHAME ON PATCH FOR ALLOWING THIS!!! SHAME ON JB FOR ALLOWING THIS!!! SHAME ON ALEX GRONKE FOR ALLOWING THIS!!!
Robert Livesay October 02, 2012 at 02:29 PM
Shame on the Patch for allowing Bobbie Richardson to use the term Black Panther in any form and also his racist hate. Bobbie you are the one that should be banned.
Kenny October 02, 2012 at 03:50 PM
You can't ban Bobby. That would eliminate 50% of the posts.
Lou Weiss October 02, 2012 at 05:13 PM
Pres. Obama, many people refer to Gov. Romney as a flip flop, etch a sketch candidate. Many have said he repeats remarks he knows are false (i.e. eliminating welfare work requirement, medicare cuts, etc) would you state some of his biggest lies about your positions?
Robert Livesay October 02, 2012 at 05:42 PM
Lou I assume you are refering to President Obama lies. Well lets try a few. Cut national debt in half in first term. Get unemployment below 6%. Those two alone are very hope and promise outright lies. He will say he did not know what he was getting into. Well then why did he run for office. Just on a whim. Now lets try the Libya resent situation. He is hanging Rice out to dry and letting her take the blame when he knew all along what the situation was. Lou four Americans are dead and he goes to Vegas. This poor fella is in so far over his head he will need a oil rig to get him out. Sorry Lou the President is still blaming others for his not understanding any of the major issues we face. Yes he could win. Well another four years of more debt try now it will be over 20 tril. Is that what you want Lou? I sure hope not.

That's find Robert Livesay, but where do you get off calling The President of The United States of America a "Crime oriented guy from Chicago"? What is wrong with you people. And further more you Robert Livesay or Babaloo or Joe Feltcher and any of you people are not going to pick my heroes for me. You people don't think much of the Black Panthers, fine. But I do and I will tell my children about them and I will continue to that title" The Black Panther of Poetry"!! If you all don't like it...You know where to find me!!! PEACE OUT!!!

"The Black Panther of Poetry" October 02, 2012 at 11:10 PM
And neither is President Obama to be taken serious according to you very harsh and un-warranted and dis-respectful description("Crime oriented guy from Chicago"!!!) of him.
Robert Livesay October 02, 2012 at 11:18 PM
Bobbie just where do I find you? I would love to discuss my family in the Civil War in the Confederate Army. It would be a good mix Confederate Army and the Black Panthers. Tell me where and when.
"The Black Panther of Poetry" October 02, 2012 at 11:58 PM
Un-like you Robert Livesay, I have respect for old people and my President. Grow up old man!!!(RUMPELTHINSKIN)
Robert Livesay October 03, 2012 at 01:53 AM
Bobbie I answer your comment with question. You do not want to meet with me. You just want to hide behide your comments. Bobbie as I asked before just tell me where and when. Do you understand that question. Bobbie again where and when. I do believe that is a very simple question to your comment. Bobbie you will not answer..
"The Black Panther of Poetry" October 03, 2012 at 04:08 AM
Old man you are drunk and full of LIQUID COURAGE!!! Say goodnite "Grumpythinskin"!!!
Scott Burford October 03, 2012 at 04:43 AM
Somebody, quick call the producers at TRU-TV and get them engaged with developing a reality-tv series starring Robert and Bobby and their e-jousting. It could make for riveting late night TV!! TRU-TV already has such all time greats as Hardcore Pawn, Operation Repo....it's time for "Battle of the QWERTYs"
Jeff Schwartz October 03, 2012 at 01:44 PM
Robbie, the only accurate statement you made about me is that I am indeed a New Yorker (and a proud one). I keep my politics to myself and vote for what I believe is best for this country and my family. Sorry I flustered you into typos, but I think that is more you than me. Finally to address your comment on how I should be taken...here is a quote from a prolific writer "The difference between New York and California is that in New York there are 11M interesting people to talk to, in California there are 11" if so you are certainly not one of them. You spend countless hours hiding behind your keyboard and pontificating.....it is in a word laughable. Enjoy your day on "The Patch" which is just a small indulgence for me. Bobby.....I am light years away from being a hater...except maybe in the case of the Benicia "Greeters" outside the Post Office....
Riley Willerson October 03, 2012 at 02:37 PM
By the way the movie "Qwerty" is a must see, independent film, romantic, humorous , with a splash of sock monkeys...
Robert Livesay October 03, 2012 at 02:46 PM
Jeff the big difference between me and you is I do not take the Patch seriously. It is just an outlet to stir things up for me. At that I do a very good job. It gets Jeff, Black Panther Bobby and many others all tide up in the undies. I enjoy it. Now Scott I do like your idea. The only problem is I am the only one with any talent. I am a member of SAG. I will run this by my agent. The Wire, West Wing were great shows your idea for the Panther and myself is way below my talent level. But at the same time if you want to be the producer and put up the money I might consider it.
Jeff Schwartz October 03, 2012 at 04:02 PM
Robbie...if you think someone like you could "tide up" my undies (spell check or you are offering to do my laundry) you are seriously mistaken. Wow I guess they must be handing out SAG cards to anyone these days!
Robert Livesay October 03, 2012 at 04:27 PM
Jeff if it is so easy why are you not a memeber. Because you have no talent and can not afford it. As far as tide goes you did not get it. I should have spelled it Tide then maybe you could get it. You see Jeff I have you just where I want you. A New Yorker in over his head in California trying to compete with Bob Livesay. Oh Jeff am I having fun with you.
Robert Livesay October 03, 2012 at 04:37 PM
Bobbie cut the crap out. I will pay for lunch and even give you an autographed 8x10 head shot. Either you want to meet or you do not. Just say so and cut the BS out. Think aboutit Bobbie you could tell everyone you personally know me and even have a signed 8x 10 to prove it. Are you game Black Panther ?
Jeff Schwartz October 03, 2012 at 04:46 PM
Robbie...you are batting practice...just a big fat one thrown right over the plate waiting to get clubbed, except I choose to hold back...it would be like smacking an old helpless dog with a rolled up magazine...just cruel, inhumane and serves no real purpose. Glad you are having fun though...you need it. Over and out!
Robert Livesay October 03, 2012 at 08:12 PM
Jeff you are for sure a right fielder. See if you can figure that one out.
Robert Livesay October 03, 2012 at 08:14 PM
Jeff not only are you a right fielder you did not even suit up for home games. You may have even carried my bags.
