Benicia High Varsity Boys Cross Country Capture Fifth League Win

Varsity Boys finish the regular season with their fifth straight win.

On Wednesday, October 12 the Benicia High School boys varsity cross country team concluded a perfect season by winning the fifth and last meet of the regular season.

Junior Scott Yip has led them to victory meet after meet.  Last Wednesday, 49 runners started the race and Yip was the first Panther to cross the line.  He came in Second overall. Yip was followed by teammates junior Adrian Coleman, sophomore Nick Strohl, junior Jackson McNutt and Sam Love.  Other Panthers who finished the race were junior Trevor Theobald, sophomore Andrew Jacobs andPhillipe Garcia.

The Panthers will compete next Wednesday, October 26, in the league championship meet at Rush Ranch in Suisun City.  If they win that meet it will mark their ifith straight league title.
