Benicia Panthers take Six Way Race in Cross Country Meet

Benicia, Rodriguez, Jesse Bethel, Vallejo, Vanden, American Canyon, compete in Cross Country meet at Hann Park in Vallejo.

The Benicia High School Cross Country team looked very strong in their league opener on Wednesday with both the girls and boys varsity teams taking first place.  Especially heartening for the Panther girls was that the first five team members to cross the finish line were freshman.

Varsity Girls race:  Freshman Ellen Armour won the 3 mile varsity girls race with a time of 20:02.  Followed respectively by ALL freshman teammates Kaliegh Wright in 4th, Allie Yip 5th, Mady Hahn-Smith 6th, and Zoe Bumgarner in 7th rounding out the top 5 for Benicia.  There were 38 runners in the race.
