Benicia High School Girls Cross Country Team Continues To Make History

Panther girls cross country has another perfect meet to top off a perfect season.

The Lady Panthers team finished the regular season last week at Rockville Park in Fairfield where they won the meet taking the top five spots and completed a perfect season with a 5 – 0 record. 

The meet featured 35 lady runners competing in the varsity girls race.  The 3.1 mile course proved to the liking of the Panther runners.  The team has five freshman who are making history and give the team great hope for years of success.

The five freshmen girls who are leading the team are Ellen Armaur  who came in first at the Rockville meet with a time of 21:03, Kaelie Wright  in second place at 21:28, Allie Yip was only one second behind with a time of 21:29, fourth went to Mady Hahn-Smith in a time of 21:47 and rounding out the top five finishers was Zoe Bumgardner  in 21:49.

The undefeated Panthers will be running on October 26, 2011 at Rush Ranch at the League Championship meet.
