Veterans: Take AARP Driver Safety class for free!

In honor of Veterans Day AARP salutes our nation's veterans during November by waiving the normal cost for taking its Drivers Safety courses (normally $12 for AARP members; $14 for non-members). This promotion is extended to all U.S. veterans, their spouses, and their adult children. Upon completion of this course, participants receive a three-year certificate that will qualify them for a Mature Driving discount on their auto insurance. This introductory Driver Safety class includes eight hours of classroom instruction taught over two consecutive Fridays in November. Class dates in Benicia are: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, AND Friday, Nov. 9. Classes taught at the Benicia Community Center, 370 East L St. Sign up for this class by contacting the Benicia Senior Center (745-1202). Enrollment is limited to 25 students, so sign up early!
