New Holiday Decorations Debut at Benicia High School

After controversy, new decorations adorn the quad.

The tree is back at in the quad at Benicia High School, adorned with ornaments, complete with presents under it.  There are menorahs and traditional ornaments and an invitation to students to add their own decorations celebrating the traditions of their families.

The controversey began last week when the school's put up in the quad to celebrate the holidays.  The club members felt the decorations were to closely related to christian traditions and left out other religions and cultures but made it clear

A decison was made to but that decision was reversed after a group of students voiced their opposition to the removal with an on Tuesday, December 6.
