Coach Jim Bowles was pleased with what he saw in Tuesday's game against Armijo High School. "We were able to adjust to a really talented senior pitcher," said Bowles. "The first time through the line-up he kept us off balance, but the players adjusted and we started getting some hits."
The Panthers had one base runner in the first three innnings. In the fourth each team scored a run and then in the bottom of half of the fifth inning, Benicia began to pur it on, scoring three runs and adding six more in bottom of the sixth inning.
Benicia's next game is against Vanden at 4:00 p.m. Friday at Laurel Park in Fairfield.
