Panther V-Baller Alex Gasologa to Play for Dominican Next Year

Former Panther star will be used as defensive specialist.

Dominican University of California second-year head  volleyball coach Gayle Stammer has added defensive specialist from to next year's team.  In addition, Dominican has added libero Katy Batchelder from Feather River College in Quincy.

The Dominican women’s volleyball team will also be considerably
taller next season with the addition of 6-footers Samantha Rains of Ponderosa High School and Skyler Moon, a transfer from Cabrillo College in Aptos, plus 5-10 Rachael deVries out of Davis Senior High School.

“The significance of this class is that they add equity, depth, height and experience to our team,” Stammer said. “Transfer Batchelder brings strength in ball control, while Moon is a significant force at the net. Rains, deVries and Gasologa have seen a lot of court time throughout their high school years, playing year round with the addition of club volleyball. I expect that all of our newcomers will raise the level of play in practice and help push our team to another level.”
