Attempted purchase of remote controlled Helicopter with EBT card

I often stop by my local 7-11 to buy things before work; energy drinks, snacks, smokes and a newspaper. One night before the midnight shift, I waited in line behind a shabbily dressed couple whose behavior led me to label them as "mr. And Mrs. Tweak." Grinding Jaws,Skeleton bone structure,pasty white skin  paler than Casper's and rambling rapid fire jibberish gave their Meth habit away. No need for Sherlock Holmes here! Splayed before them on the counter was an array of junk food and candy that would make Willy Wonka jealous. On top of Mount Sugar Crap sat a $30 toy Helicopter. The clerk rang up the pile and the shaking man handed over his "Free Money" card like it was a Platinum American Express card. "No no no.. Sir you can't buy this with the EBT. Not food. After suggesting how the clerk could "charge the toy as food adding "they do it for me all the time"the nervous clerk stuck to his guns and said no. Mrs. Tweak spewed profanity and began to pull out bags of change including pennies,dimes,metal washers and Chucky Cheese Tokens. "Count it!" She snarled at the clerk. That was the moment that I decided to go to work without my snacks. I didn't want to be late for my 12 hour shift.
