I am currently a Trustee on the Benicia School Board and Treasurer of the Solano County Fair Board.  I am the former two term Mayor of Benicia and have served on many local boards and commissions including: Association of Bay Area Governments, Executive Committee; SF Bay Conservation and Development Commission; Solano County Water Agency, past Chairman; Solano Water Authority, past Chairman; Solano Transportation Authority, past Vice Chairman;,  Benicia Cultural and Historical Foundation, past President; Benicia Economic Development Board, past Chairman; Benicia Old Town Merchants Association, past Chairman; and Benicia High School Panther Foundation.

I was born in South Carolina.  My father was a career Marine Corps officer and the family lived in Benicia, Oceanside, Quantico, San Diego, and Vallejo during my early years.  My professional career brought me to Brisbane, Australia, Chicago, Melbourne Australia, and San Francisco.  In 1995 I returned to Benicia with my wife Cindy, daughter, son, one dog and two cats.  Cindy and I opened the Double Rainbow Café on First Street in 1996.

My education included St Catherine’s & St. Dominic’s in Benicia; Vallejo Senior High School; California Maritime Academy in Vallejo; University of Chicago M.B.A. Program; Golden Gate University Graduate Finance Program in San Francisco and GE Strategic Planning Program in Crotonville, NY.
