AARP Driver Safety 4-Hour Refresher Class

AARP
Driver Safety classes are open to anyone age 50 or older, and are now being
offered in the Benicia area. It's a great way to refresh your driving skills,
and earn a discount on your auto insurance for up to three years, too. This
refresher class is designed for drivers who previously completed the full
8-hour AARP Driver Safety course. The class runs from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on
Friday, Sept. 20. The class is taught at the Benicia
Community Center, 370 East L St. (Use East 4th Street entrance).
Sign up by contacting Benicia Parks and Community Services, 746-4285, or by
visiting the Parks and Community Services office in the Community Center. Enrollment
limited to 25 students per class. The registration fee is $12 for AARP members;
$14 for nonmembers. Pay at the class (cash
or checks payable to AARP Driver Safety).  Bring a pillow (hard plastic chairs), a sweater
or light coat (the classroom can get cold) and a snack – this is a 4½-hour
class. Beverages (coffee, tea, or hot chocolate) are available for purchase
onsite.
