Local Church Will Serve Dinner to Homeless Thursday; Volunteers Welcome

The Gateway in Benicia is looking for volunteers who want to help prepare and serve food in Vallejo on Dec. 20, from 3-5 p.m.

TheGateway Benicia is planning to assemble and distribute a meal for homeless people currently living on the Vallejo waterfront. They're looking for volunteers who want to help prepare and serve the food on Dec. 20, from 3-5 p.m.

They posted the following on Facebook Sunday:

Come on the to The Gateway and prepare to serve a Christmas feast to our New Hope friends on the waterfront in Vallejo. Many hands are needed to make this "sit-down" dinner (and Christmas gift distribution!) a success. If you're available, we need you! Thank you, Judi West Baumgardner, for mobilizing a team of volunteers to minister to those in need each week. Your heart is showing!
