Lynch Canyon Open Space Park Will Open on Mondays

Canyon has 10 miles of trails for horseback riding, hiking, trail running and mountain biking, with skill levels varying from easy to challenging climbs.

Lynch Canyon Open Space Park will be open on Mondays starting Jan. 20.

"Opening on Mondays will allow the public to take advantage of Monday holidays and other long weekends," said Dan Sykes, Solano County Parks manager.

Lynch Canyon Open Space Park will be open to the public year-round from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday through Monday.

Lynch Canyon has 10 miles of trails for horseback riding, hiking, trail running and mountain biking, with skill levels varying from easy to challenging climbs. A variety of public events are offered during the year, including a Trail Run, Community Hike and Kite Festival in springtime, and free guided hikes year round to enjoy the native wildlife.

Lynch Canyon Open Space Park is jointly operated by Solano Land Trust and Solano County Parks with the financial support of Solano County. A calendar of events is available at www.solanocounty.com/parks orwww.solanolandtrust.org.

Dogs are not permitted at the park due to grazing cattle and the protection of wildlife. A $5 per day parking fee is required.

Lynch Canyon is located at 3100 Lynch Road near McGary Road, between Vallejo and Fairfield. From Interstate-80, take the Hiddenbrooke or Red Top Road exit and follow the signs.
