"Empowering Women, Empowering Daughters"

"Empowering Mothers, Empowering Daughters," a non-sectarian program  about
women, girls, and the current state of their political power, will be held at the
Community Congregational Church, 1305 W. 2nd St., in Benicia,  on the evening of
Saturday, May 10th,  in honor of Mother's Day. 

  
 The
evening will feature  the showing of "Miss Representation," a documentary about
women and political power, or lack of it--followed by small group discussions
for 5th-6th graders, 7th-8th graders, 9th-12th graders, and adults, all led by
educational professionals. There is no charge and the public is invited to
attend.
