Benicia based VOENA (Voices of Eve 'N Angels), is a multi-cultural, a cappella and world music experience. Founded in 1994, VOENA has performed for Presidents Clinton and Bush in Washington D.C. through multiple invitations to the White House as well as Pope John Paul II at the Vatican in Rome. As goodwill ambassadors, they have toured with their message of celebrating global diversity to China, Mexico, Italy, Greece, the World Expo in Japan, the Soweto Festival in South Africa and to the 2012 London Olympics. Representing up to 35 cultures and presented in a style that Founder/Director and Jefferson Award winner Annabelle Marie calls "physical singing”, VOENA, with 100+ voices ranging in age from 6 to 18, achieves rich and inventive a cappella vocal arrangements by using multiple percussion instruments, dance, and theatrical elements.
