Farm 2 Family Expo

The mission of this event is to educate and empower families to make healthy local food choices that support and encourage a sustainable community. A curated roster of luminaries from around Northern California will give insightful talks about sustainable agriculture, among them Tara Smith, of Tara Firma Farms in Petaluma. Students from Benicia High School's Eco Academy will present projects that demonstrate sustainable practices inside and outside the home, and individuals and businesses from the community will showcase wholesome goods they produce locally. The Expo will encompass physical fitness elements—yoga, zumba, and a 1K fun run/walk for kids—and will feature an interactive Children's activity corner with educational activities that encourage healthy eating, creative play, and physical movement for healthy minds and bodies.
