BMS Viking Band Competes at the 29th Annual City of Vallejo Band Festival


This past Saturday, the BMS Viking Band, led by Director Glenn Walp, competed in the Vallejo Band Festival and took top honors in the Concert division.  The Symphonic Band walked away with the Sweepstakes prize and the Concert Band, which has never competed before, took First Place in their division.  Military Drum Major, Garrett Wymer also earned a first place trophy.  The Marching Band took first in their division for Parade and shared the Music Sweepstakes with Grange Middle School.  Benicia also took home a second place trophy in the Jazz competition and a third place in Drum Line. 

The BMS Viking Band will compete In their final competition of the school year this Saturday at Encinal High School in Alameda on Saturday.
