Benicia Police Log: Anger Released at Park, Brass Knuckles on Military West and Barking Dogs

12:44 a.m.: Police received a report of a gunshot in the vicinity of Bayview.  Investigating officers didn’t find anything amiss.

12:55 a.m.: A resident on West Tenth Street reported seeing someone shaking the fence.  Investigating officers checked the area and couldn’t find anyone.

12:58 a.m.: Officers arrested a 25-year-old Fairfield man for possession of brass knuckles and a probation violation.  The arrest took place on Military West.

4:06 a.m.: Police investigated an alarm activation at a residence on West Seaview.  They were unable to determine shy the alarm went off.

5:03 a.m.: A resident on East L Street reported seeing persons dressed in black going into the neighbors yard.  Officers couldn’t find anyone in the neighbor’s yard who didn’t belong there.

5:10 a.m.: Police received a report of two people entering a vehicle on Devonshire.  The vehicle was gone when officers arrived.

10:28 a.m.: A resident on West M Street asked police for assistance in getting his brother-in-law to leave the house.  The brother-in-law left after collecting some items.

1052 a.m.: A resident on Shirley wanted some advice from police after she received a fraudulent cashiers check from a former tenant.

7:39 p.m.: A couple who were involved in a loud argument were separated by police officers.

8:39 p.m.: Police received a report of screaming coming from a park in the vicinity of Bristol.  Investigating officers found a group of people who were releasing their anger.

9:24 p.m.: Officers began an investigation into a graffiti spraying incident on East Third Street.

9:44 p.m.: There was a dog barking on West Second Street.

11:29 p.m.: Police received a report of a dog barking on West K Street.  The person who lives at the home of the barking dog wasn’t home.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
