Benicia Police Log: Dirt Bikes on McAllister and a Home on Larkin was TP’d

12:01 a.m.: A home on Larkin was toilet papered.

12:09 a.m.: Police received a 911 call from East J Street but it turned out there was no emergency.

4:49 a.m.: The strange noises heard by a resident on East Third were the neighbors going back and forth to the car.

5:33 a.m.: Police were notified that someone attempted to steal a vehicle from Viewmont Street.

7:34 a.m.: There was an injury traffic collision on East Second Street.

9:14 a.m.: Police were dispatched to an East Channel Road address where there has been an ongoing threat incident.

9:44 a.m.: Police received a report of a shot fired in the vicinity of East J Street.  Investigating officers determined it was a tire blow out.

10:52 a.m.: Somebody stole a handicap placard from a car on El Bonito.

11:58 a.m.: Someone stole cash from a Southampton Road business and withdrew money without authorization from the business account using an ATM card.

2:19 p.m.: A resident on Gill was asked to wire money to the person who called to say the resident had won the $3.5 million and a car.  The resident on Gill opted to call the police.

6:29 p.m.: Police received reports of several people riding dirt bikes on McAllister.  Officers talked to the riders.

7:27 p.m.: A man on Sunset was warned by police about the way he was treating his dog.

7:58 p.m.: There was a verbal disturbance in East L Street.  Officers talked to both parties involved in the argument.

8:34 p.m.: Police received a report of a woman taking pictures of a house on Hillcrest. The woman was gone when officers arrived.

9:29 p.m.: There was a non-injury traffic collision on East Second Street.

10:30 p.m.: Police received a report of suspicious activity near an East J Street school building.  Officers couldn’t find anything suspicious.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
