Benicia Police Log: Man With Two Loaded, Concealed Guns Arrested on Hayes

7:04 a.m.: A 61-year-old Rio Vista man was stopped on Military East for speeding but was arrested and transported to the county jail when it was discovered he had two concealed loaded guns in his truck.

7:20 a.m.: Officers opened an investigation into a case of vandalism at a baseball field on East I Street.

9:45 a.m.: Officers helped a pair of citizens sort out a civil issue.

10:36 a.m.: Officers talked to a couple on Hawthorne who were having an argument.

10:37 a.m.: Officers received a report of a solicitor on East Third Street who was working without a permit.

11:37 a.m.: A residential alarm activation on Carlisle appeared to have been a malfunction.

4:39 p.m.: Officers were unable to locate a group of girls who were reportedly playing in the middle of Southampton Road.

8:20 p.m.: Officers received a report of a car doing doughnuts in a parking lot on Military West.  The car was gone when officers arrived on the scene.

8:52 p.m.: Police received a report of a dog barking on Vista Court.  The dog had ceased barking when officers arrived on the scene.

8:55 p.m.: Officers opened an investigation into a residential burglary on Gill.

9:47 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on Riverview.

10:06 p.m.: There was a suspicious vehicle spotted on East Industrial.  Officers talked to the driver.

10:09 p.m.: A resident on Military East asked police to check their home because they suspected someone had broken in.  Officers found no evidence of forced entry.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
