Police Log: Man Thinks PVC Pipe is Bomb

Man arrested for DUI and a brick was threw a car window.

Here the report for Thursday, Jan. 12.

5:45 a.m. Police documented a hit and run incident of a motorcycle being struck overnight on East Second Street.

8:55 a.m. An incident report was taken on a trailer stolen on Bay Vista Way.

10:22 a.m. Dispatch received a report of two suspicious individuals on First Street. Police didn’t locate anyone when they searched the area.

10:48 a.m. Police received a report of a car window being broken with a brick on West F Street.

10:53 a.m. A man reported fraudulent charges on his credit card at an address on East Second Street.

12:15 p.m. Police responded to a report of a fight between employees at a business on First Street. One of the men left and no prosecution was requested.

1:26 p.m. A resident called police to report what he thought was a bomb in his yard. It turned out to be a PVC pipe with dirt and roots coming out of it.

1:37 p.m. Someone called police about three boys possibly breaking into a residence on East N Street. The kids were gone when police arrived and at least one many have been a relative of the residence.

3:08 p.m. Police took a report of a copper wire theft on Hayes Street.

3:20 p.m. Dispatch received a call of a verbal disturbance between neighbors on El Paseo Drive.

4:41 p.m. Police documented a resident noticing a prowler in his neighbor’s backyard a few days earlier.

9:26 p.m. Thirty-one-year-old Timothy Rutledge was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana with the intent to sell it on West I Street.

10:39 p.m. Vallejo resident David Abrams, 21, was cited and released on suspicion of DUI on West Ninth Street.

11:00 p.m. Police documented threats made in a phone call at an address on Chelsea Hills Drive.
