2013 City Council Race Has Its First Candidate

Parks, Recreation and Cemetery Commissioner is ready to make a run at a seat on City council.

Kenneth Charles Paulk announced he plans to run for Benicia City Council next year.  Paulk is a member of the Parks, Recreations and Cemetery Commission and is a board member for Rebuilding Together Solano County.

The Benicia Herald reports that Paulk, 62, had a long business career, primarily in the apparel industry.

Recently, Paulk was one of two citizens who applied for the position of Benicia City Treasurer after the passing of Bob Langston who was elected City Treasurer in November 2011.

Sitting councilmen Alan Schwartzman and Mark Hughes are both planning to run for re-election in the November 5, 2013 election.

When's Livesay going to run so after he guarantees his win, then loses, he can blame the so called "Liberal" population.

John I made a comment that the candidate has made. It very not mentioned in the article. After all he said he was running. Must stand for something. I was not pro or con about his comment. I will put my election record up against yours John. The only problem is you do not have one. I have been wrong on two Presidential elections since 1952. 1960 and 2012. Not bad. Next time you need help Smeadley call on someone else.
