BUSD Board to Consider Social Media Policy, AP Curriculum

School board to review new policies on social media and civility.

The Benicia Unified School District (BUSD) Board of Trustees will consider a new policy on the use of social media by the district at its next scheduled meeting. The policy is intended to “ensure that official district social media platforms” (such as Facebook and Twitter) “provide current information regarding district programs, activities, and operations…” The board will also consider a civility policy that is intended to “promote mutual respect, civility and orderly conduct among district employees, parents, and the public."

The board will also invite public comment on the consideration and approval of Benicia High School course outlines, including AP Literature/Composition and AP Studio Art.

The next BUSD Board meeting is Thursday, Sept. 15, at 7:30 p.m in the board room at the .
