Mayor Patterson Makes Candidacy Official
Elizabeth Patterson submits completed nomination paperwork to the city clerk.
Mayor is officially running for re-election. Thursday morning she signed the paperwork and turned in her nomination papers for although her campaign for re-election began months ago.
City Clerk Lisa Wolfe accepted Patterson's nomination paperwork and officiated as Patterson took the oath of candidacy. Patterson served on the Benicia City Council from 2003 until 2007 when she was elected mayor of Benicia.
The deadline to file nomination papers in the mayor's race is today. The election is Nov. 8.
