Benicia State Parks Association Docent Training

Volunteers are needed to help keep the parks open.

Looking for a volunteer opportunity in Benicia?  If you are, then the Benicia State Parks Association has a deal for you.

Come, learn about California's oldest remaining state capitol (1853-1854) and become a docent Saturday, July 14 10:00 a.m.  The training session will take about 90 minutes and will include a 15-20 minute walk-through of the buildings and grounds.  A light lunch will also be served at the end of each session.

Robin Lancaster, BSPA Secretary and Volunteer Coordinator stated that "We hope to attract at least 20 interested people for each training session but it is open to as many or as few that would like to join BSPA and become an important, integral part of Benicia's wonderful early California history."
