The Museum of History Benicia is focused on teaching the history of California as written in the story of Benicia. The museum is located in two distinct locations - the historic Benicia Arsenal, where we occupy 4 of the oldest remaining Arsenal Buildings at 2060 Camel Rd. Benicia and a Downtown Gallery located at 900 East 2nd St. Benicia. The primary focus of our 2 Arsenal galleries is prehistory to 1900 whereas the focus of the Downtown Gallery is 1900 to the present. We offer history in a unique environment and an even more exciting avenue, through education programs, talks, our heavily anticipated monthly First Fridays At The Museum parties, our conference, garden, and hall rentals, and so much more.
